Off-season dog pilot ends

Off-season, dog access pilot projects have ended in two regional parks in the District of Lake Country.

 

Residents are reminded that regular rules prohibiting dogs are back in effect in Kaloya and Kopje regional parks.

 

The pilot projects temporarily allowed dogs off-leash in Kopje Regional Park and on-leash on trails within Kaloya Regional Park during the slower winter months from October 1 through March 31.  During that time, dogs were not allowed on the beach area of either park.

Regular Council Meeting Highlights - April 5, 2022

Public Hearing:

Council heard from the public regarding the rezoning application for 3319 Brun Road. The application is to amend the zone from RU1 – Single Family Housing to RU2 – Small Lot Single Family Housing. Rezoning the property is required to facilitate a future 3-lot subdivision. Council gave third reading and approved the rezoning later at the Regular Council meeting.
