WHAT: The Public Hearing for the proposed Zoning Amendment (Fencing Requirements) Bylaw 1211, 2023 is waived. To reduce injury and mortality to deer and other wildlife the amendment proposes to introduce fencing requirements that prohibit fence pickets and finials on all fences and restricts double horizontal top rails spaced less than 45 cm apart.

The public hearing was held to hear from members of the public on rezoning applications located at 3130 Berry Road and a second application located at 11506 Turtle Bay Court. Several members of the community spoke to Council regarding their concerns and/or support of the projects. OCP Bylaw 1131, 202, Zoning Amendment Bylaw 1132 and Zoning Amendment Bylaw 1199 were adopted by Council at the Special Council Meeting that followed.
